Revisiting The End Of A Dynasty?

This year is the first time since 1984 that the same two teams face each other in the Stanley Cup finals in back-to-back seasons. Isles say these Wings are no match for the New York Islanders of the late 70's, early to mid-eighties.

All Hail Al!

Al Arbour is the greatest coach in NHL history; his 1,500 games, 740 wins, and four straight Stanley Cups with the New York Islanders will attest.

Isles say that's a period folks!

On this day in Isles history....

On this day in 1982 Mike Bossy scores a goal while in mid-air. The Isles win game three of the Stanley Cup Final versus Vancouver 3-0. The New York Islanders go on to win their third straight Stanley Cup with a sweep of the Canucks. What are your top five all-time favourite Islanders' goals?

Isles say number one on your list:

1.) May 24th, 1980, Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 7:11 OT - "…Tonelli to Nystrom, he scores! Bob Nystrom scores the goal; the Islanders win the Stanley Cup."
